_Urge the Mayor of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area not to relent in his uncommon quest to restore the Garden City status of the Rivers State capital_
Wives of Traditional rulers of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area and Rebisi women council led by the wife of the paramount ruler of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area,Her Royal Majesty. Dr.Juliet Uche Elikwu have pledged their commitment to the presidential ambition of the Governor Of Rivers State,Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
The women spoke when they paid a courtesy call on the Mayor Of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, Sir Allwell Ihunda in the council headquarters, Moscow Road.
Dr.Juliet Elikwu who spoke on behalf of the women said they represent the wives of the Port Harcourt City Local Government Area Council of Traditional rulers and the Rebisi women council. According to her, their role is mainly to compliment the efforts of their husbands in ensuring for peaceful co-existence amongst those that live and do business in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area.
She applauded the laudable programmes and projects of the Governor in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area.
“let me on behalf of the women of Rebisi Kingdom express our support for the laudable programmes and projects of Gov. Wike in Port Harcourt City. His developmental initiatives have been of immense benefit to us and we join millions of Nigerians to pray for his nomination and election to the exalted office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,to enable him replicate what he has done in Rivers State to the entire country.
The woman also appreciated the developmental strides of Sir Allwell Ihunda since his assumption of office,and promised to always support and pray for the success of his Administration, urging him not to relent in his effort to restore the city status of Port Harcourt.
They later made a presentation to Sir Allwell Ihunda on his inuaguration as Mayor Of the city amidst several requests for the growth and development of their organization.
Responding,Sir Allwell Ihunda thanked the women for the visit,he said the Almighty God will see to the success of the aspiration of Gov Nyesom Ezenwo Wike as he is a formidable force that can rescue our dear nation at this inglorious time.
He said he and other leaders of the local government area are fully mobilized to support Gov Nyesom Ezenwo Wike in his quest to become the nation’s number 1 citizen.
He promised to attend to their requests in phases,and urge them to keep praying for the peace and development of the local government area.
