Mayor of Port Harcourt City, Sir Allwell Ihunda JP has congratulated the Rivers State Governor-Elect, Amaopu-Senibo Siminialayi Fubara on his landslide victory in the Governorship election conducted on the 18th of March 2023.
The Independent electoral commission announced Amaopu-Senibo Siminialayi Fubara as the winner of the Governorship election in Rivers State after polling 302,614 votes to defeat his closet challenger Arch Tonye Cole who polled 95,274 votes to come a distant second.
Sir Allwell Ihunda prayed God Almighty to grant the Governor-Elect sufficient grace to continue the development strides of the current administration.
He said he has no doubt in the ability of the Governor-Elect to sustain and consolidate the achievements of Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
“Elections have come and gone, in every contest there must be a winner, I want to encourage everyone to come together, close ranks with the Governor-Elect and contribute to the growth and development of Rivers State”.
The Mayor congratulates Amaopu-Senibo Siminialayi Fubara, the Deputy Governor-Elect Prof.Ngozi Odu and pledged the commitment and support of the people of Port Harcourt to the success of their administration.
