*RIVERS STATE BRANCH OF THE NIGERIA MEDICAL ASSOCIATION COMMENDS THE DEVELOPMENTAL STRIDES OF SIR ALLWELL IHUNDA*
_Promise to always support activities of Port Harcourt City Local Government as it concerns health_
The Executives of the Nigeria Medical Association,Rivers State branch led by the Chairman,Prof.Chizindu Alikor has commended the developmental strides of Sir Allwell Ihunda, the Mayor of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area.
Prof Chizindu Alikor made the commendation when he led members of his Executives on a courtesy visit to Sir Allwell Ihunda in the council headquarters at moscow road.
He commended the Mayor for embarking on the constructing a two storey sickbay in the council headquarters which will also serve members of the public.
“Just entering the premises of the PHALGA, the environment is clean and serene. For us this is highly commendable, we are quite impressed with the developmental projects of Sir Allwell Ihunda”.
He said the Rivers State branch of the Nigeria Medical Association will always support the activities of Port Harcourt City Local Government as it concerns health.
Responding, the Mayor Of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, Sir Allwell Ihunda thanked the medical doctors for the sacrifices they have been making to save lives.
“I know your work is not easy, particularly during the covid-19 pandemic.
The risk and exposure you put yourself through in ensuring that lives are safe,we thank you for that”.
The Mayor also thanked them for the numerous works they have been doing in Rivers State and PHALGA in particular in ensuring that health facilities provided by Government are running up to date.
“As a local government we try as much as we can in complimenting the efforts of Gov Nyesom Ezenwo Wike,who has tirelessly decided to change the face of our democracy with respect to governance,as we are aware our Governor has done so well in terms of infrastructural development in virtually all sectors of the state economy”,Sir Ihunda said.
The Mayor later led Prof.Alikor and his team on an inspection of the ongoing two storey sickbay in the council headquarters, which will be completed in 2 months.
