PHALGA MAYOR ATTENDS THE 2025/2026 LEGAL YEAR OPENING CEREMONY OF THE RIVERS STATE JUDICIARY

The Rivers State Judiciary on Friday marked the commencement of the 2025/2026 Legal Year with a solemn church service held at the Corpus Christi Cathedral, No. 1 Kaduna Street, D/Line, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The Mayor of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, Sir (Hon.) Allwell Ihunda, DSSRS, JP, joined other Local Government Chairmen as part of the distinguished entourage that accompanied the Executive Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, the Deputy Governor, Prof. Ngozi Odu, the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Martins Amaewhule, and the Chief Judge of Rivers State, Hon. Justice Simeon Chibuzor Amadi, DSSRS, JP, to the event.
The ceremony, graced by top government officials, members of the Bench and Bar, and other dignitaries, reflected the Judiciaryβs unwavering commitment to upholding justice, fairness, and integrity in the dispensation of law across Rivers State.
This annual event serves as a reaffirmation of the Judiciaryβs dedication to maintaining an impartial and accessible legal system that protects the rights and interests of all citizens.
