Port Harcourt LGA Administrator Celebrates Miss Hephzibah Chidi The Winner Of The National Essay Competition
The Administrator/Mayor of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, Dr. Barr. Samuel Kalagbor, DSSRS, celebrates Miss Hephzibah Chidi, the winner of the 2024 edition of the National Essay Competition, organised by the Heirs Insurance Group for secondary school students across the 36 States of the Federation.
Dr. Kalagbor emphasised the need for socio-political and economic development via the development of the human mind through quality education.
The emphasis was made during the presentation of the Winner of the 2024 Edition of the National Essay Competition, organised by the Heirs Insurance Group for secondary school students across the 36 States of the Federation. The Winner, Miss Hephzibah Chidi, who hails from Orochiri Community, Rebisi, in Port Harcourt City LGA, was received by the Mayor of Phalga at the City Council Chambers, Moscow Road, Port Harcourt.
She was accompanied by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chidi Chuku, chiefs, elders, youths, women, and representatives of the organisers of the competition.
The Mayor congratulated Miss Chidi for winning the national essay competition and commended Heirs Insurance Group for organising the competition. The Mayor pledged to support the recipient with the sum of Five Hundred Thousand Naira (#500,000.00) for her excellent performance and for making Port Harcourt LGA and Rivers State proud.
In appreciation, Coach Kenneth Chuku, on behalf of the parents of the recipient, thanked the Administrator and Mayor of Port Harcourt for his kind gesture and support for human capital development.
