After the opening prayer and National Anthem, the house examined and approved the previous votes and proceedings which will serve as a working document.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The leader of the 7th legislative council, Rt. Hon. Noble Hanachor Orlu, briefed his colleagues on the ongoing INEC continues voter registration exercise that has moved to Phalga ward 18, he encouraged the councillor representing the ward Hon. Wopara Prince Wokoma to endeavour to mobilize residents of the ward who are yet to register to make use of the opportunity and get registered. Hon. Orlu also announced the demise of Chief Adolphus Onugaru Amadi, whose sad event occured yesterday evening as announced by the family. Chief Aldolphus Amadi was the father of Hon. Kingsley Owhonda Snipes Amadi, The Chief Protocol Officer to the Mayor of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, Sir Allwell Ihunda , and also he was one-time leader Port Harcourt City Legislative Council.

The chairman house committee on works Hon. Kingsley Chinedu Wobo briefed his colleagues on the present state of work done at the legislative chambers, however he complimented the ongoing painting of the offices in the chamber.
Going further, the Chairman house committee on Sanitation and the Chief-whip of the house Hon. Owiriwa Chimenem also briefed the house on his recent meeting with Mr Mgbamoka Christian Ndubuisi , Chairman PHALGA Sanitation Committee, he however promised to present his detailed report by next sitting.

MATTER FOR URGENT PUBLIC IMPORTANCE.:
The Deputy Leader of the house and councillor representing Phalga ward 7, Hon. Iminabo Christian gave a word of advice to his colleagues concerning the forthcoming Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primaries holding this weekend.
Hon. Iminabo maintained that as councillors of the LGA, it is precedence to ensure a peaceful atmosphere within the LGA.
Making references to the ugly incident that occurred in the recent APC gathering where a life was reported to have been lost, Hon. Iminabo cautioned that councillors should call on their subjects and supporters to endeavor to maintain utmost decorum at all time, especially during and after the People Democratic Party Primaries. Also he never failed to commend the Mayor of Port Harcourt City Sir Allwell Ihunda on his passionate drive to keep Port Harcourt City Clean.

The leader of the house Rt. Hon. Orlu commended the submission of the deputy leader, he however advised his colleagues to trade with caution as the party goes into Primaries.
The leader also had in his office, representative from the PEN GROUP PUBLISHERS, Publishers of Rivers State book of records and samples of their material was presented him.

MOTION FOR ADJOURNMENT.
Motion for adjournment was moved by the Chief whip of the house and councillor Phalga ward 9 Hon. Nyekazi Chimenem Owiriwa, and was seconded by the Deputy leader of the house Hon. Christan Iminabo councillor Phalga ward 7.
