The chairman of Sir Allwell Ihunda’s ‘Entrepreneurship, Trades And Skills Acquisition Programme’, Dr. Ezebunwo Nyeche has commended the Mayor of Port Harcourt City for his sustainable development for youth and women in Port Harcourt City; as the beneficiaries of the Port Harcourt City Local Government Scholarship under Sir Allwell Ihunda commenced training as cadets at Charkins Maritime Academy in Rivers State.
The scholarship is part of the Sir Allwell Ihunda’s Entrepreneurship, Trades, and Skills Development Programme of the Local Government.
The Mayor of Port Harcourt City promised to sustain the vision of Skills training for the people who desired to be equipped with the ability to make a success of themselves in the Crafts of their training.
Sir Allwell Ihunda is committed and determined to empower Port Harcourt City youth and women with skills and professional training to reduce unemployment in the City.
The cadets will undergo two years of training leading to the award of National Diploma in Nautical Science and Maritime Engineering.
The beneficiaries include; Cadet Morgan M. Ogbonda, Cadet Hephzibah Ajoku, Cadet Pretty C. Ajoku and Cadet Praise O. Owiriwa.
