_Urge the the people of Ozuboko Town to make good use of the new community hall_

Mayor Of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, Sir Allwell Ihunda JP has reiterated the commitment of his administration to impact positively on the 20 Wards of the LGA before the end of his term in office.

The Mayor made this known at the inuaguration of a magnificently built 300 sitting capacity town hall constructed for the people of Ozuboko Community by his administration.

He said they were in Ward 20 to commission a project in fufilment of a promise he made of ensuring that his administration impacts on all the wards of the LGA before the end of his term in office.

“Today i feel glad being in your midst to fulfill our campaign promise to you,

I can stand here to say that we have already impacted in more than 10 wards within the 1 year we have spent in office”.

Sir Allwell Ihunda expressed hearty appreciation to the Executive Governor Of Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike and the people of Port Harcourt for the opportunity given him to serve the people.

” We are indeed very happy to be here to celebrate the commissioning ceremony of Ozuboko Town Hall and I want to specially thank God Almighty for the grace and enablement he has granted us towards the execution of this project, I also thank the Governor Of Rivers State for being a very shinning example and allowing us the humbling opportunity to serve in this capacity “.

The Mayor recalled that sometime last year when he asked councillors within the LGA to nominate projects in their wards, He was happy that the Ozuboko Town Hall was nominated by the Councillor of PHALGA Ward 20, Hon. Tamunoala Benjamin given the usefulness of such infrastructure to a community.

He also urged the community to make good use of the hall, stating that, it is one thing to own something and another thing to manage what is owned for sustainability.

Performing the inuaguration of the Ozuboko Town Hall, Special Guest of Honour and Member Representing PHALGA Constituency II in the Rivers State House Of Assembly, Hon. Smart Adoki commended the Mayor for the noble gesture.

“I am one man that never expected anything close to this in this community.

What the Mayor has done here today will outlive generations”.

He noted with excitement that in the history of the LGA no Chairman had brought a project of this magnitude to the ward.

“I want to sincerely thank the Mayor for this project, 8 years ago we couldn’t access this area with vehicles.

The performing Governor Of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike came on board and opened up this area by constructing the entire internal roads of PHALGA Ward 20, today the Mayor has deposited this magnificent edifice that has improved on the aesthetics of the area”.

Describing the project, the Engineer of the Port Harcourt City Local Government Council, Engr.Solomon Addoh said the building houses a 300 sitting capacity hall, 5 office spaces, changing room, a store, 6 toilets and water facility.

He noted that the hall and rooms are fully furnished with state of the art equipments.

Speaking on behalf of the Ozuboko people,Mr Matthew Ibanibo said since the inception of party politics in 1999 no party had rewarded the community the way the PDP has just done.

He therefore pledged their unalloyed commitment to the PDP.

In their separate goodwill messages Candidate of the PDP for the Federal House of Representatives PHALGA Constituency 1 in the 2023 elections, Barr. Chima Boms and the Leader of the PDP in PHALGA ward 20, Dr. George Opuda congratulated the people of Ozuboko for the project and also appreciated the Mayor.

They informed that they were not surprised by the achievements of Sir Allwell Ihunda since his assumption of office given his reputation as good student of the Governor Of Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike who is project impersonified.
