To address the persistent flooding challenges affecting residents and indigenes along the ๐๐ก๐๐ ๐๐๐๐/๐๐ช๐ข๐ช๐ ๐๐ก๐๐๐๐ค๐ง ๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ค๐๐, and other adjourning streets, the Mayor of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, Sir (Hon.) Allwell Ihunda, DSSRS, JP, earlier today undertook an on-the-spot inspection of the ongoing excavation works at the ๐ฌ๐๐ฉ๐๐ง๐ฌ๐๐ฎ (๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐พ๐๐ฃ๐๐ก) that channels water directly into the Waja Bridge Canal.
During the assessment, the Mayor identified key structural issues and uncovered a practical, long-term solution which is the construction of a permanent drainage system, with aim to permanently resolve the flooding problems within the area.
