*SIR ALLWELL IHUNDA APPRECIATES GOV. NYESOM WIKE FOR IMPROVING ON THE ECONOMIC WELLBEING AND THE TRANSPORT SITUATION OF THE AREA BY PROVIDING THE NEWLY COMMISSIONED OROCHIRI / WORUKWO FLYOVER

Mayor of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, Sir Allwell Ihunda has appreciated the Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike for improving on the well being and transport situation of the area by providing the newly commissioned Orochiri /Worukwo flyover.
Sir Allwell Ihunda said this in his welcome address at the inuaguration of the Orochiri /Worukwo flyover constructed by Gov Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
“We want to tell you that the people of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area are indeed very happy with you.
We thank God for giving us a Governor like you who has the interest of the people at heart through your developmental programmes and the projects deposited across the 23 LGA’s in Rivers State, be rest assured that the people of Port Harcourt will continue to support you”.
The Mayor said the project which was flagged off in March 2021 and inuagurated today will ease the flow of traffic and improve the economic activities of the area.
He told the Governor Of Rivers State that during the construction of the flyover the people of Orochiri and Worukwo communities benefited immensely from it and it improved their economic wellbeing.
In his address to the people of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area,Gov Nyesom Ezenwo Wike said he will continue to flag off and commission projects for Rivers people until his last day in office.
“We will continue to fulfill our part of the social contract we signed with our people, some Governments would have pocketed monies earmarked for projects knowing that they are already transiting, but we will never do that, we must continue to improve on the wellbeing of our people” the Governor remarked.
Performing the inuaguration,the special guest of honour and Governor of Lagos State,Mr.Babajide Sanwo-olu said Gov Wike is a role model in Governance worthy of emulation and he is proud to be associated with him despite their political leaning.
Thousands of Port Harcourt residents turned out to cheer and appreciate Gov Wike for all he has done and is still doing for the local government area.
