International Youth Day 2026: A Message to the Youth of Port Harcourt<\/p>\n

On this International Youth Day, I warmly celebrate the vibrant, talented and resilient young people of Port Harcourt City.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s theme, \u201cDifferent Contexts, Common Aspirations,\u201d reminds us that while our circumstances may differ, our aspirations remain connected \u2014 the aspiration for opportunity, meaningful livelihoods, quality education, innovation, dignity and a better future.<\/p>\n

As a government, we recognise that our young people are not merely the leaders of tomorrow. You are leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators, professionals and change-makers today. Your energy, creativity and determination remain essential to the growth and development of our city and State.<\/p>\n

Our commitment to youth development remains unwavering. We will continue to support skills acquisition programmes that equip young people with practical and marketable skills, expand empowerment programmes that promote economic independence, and sustain students\u2019 grants to support young people pursuing their education.<\/p>\n

These initiatives are designed to create opportunities, strengthen self-reliance and ensure that no young person is left without a pathway to fulfil their potential.<\/p>\n

To the youth of Port Harcourt, I urge you to keep learning, keep innovating, embrace entrepreneurship and believe in yourselves. The future belongs to those who prepare for it, and together, we can build a Port Harcourt where every young person has the opportunity to thrive.<\/p>\n

May your dreams be bigger than your challenges, and may your talents continue to make Port Harcourt proud.<\/p>\n
