In a timely but crucial visit, the OGBAKOR IKWERRE CULTURAL ORGANIZATION WORLDWIDE – which is the umbrella and apex socio-cultural organisation of the lkwerre ethnic nationality visited the Administrator and Mayor of Port Harcourt City LGA, Eze Barr Samuel B. Kalagbor PhD, DSSRS.<\/p>\n
The visit which was necessitated by the desire to foster a united Ikwerre-nation had in attendance the President General of OGBAKOR IKWERRE CULTURAL ORGANIZATION HRM Eze Barr Godspower W Onuekwa PhD, KSC JP who thanked the Administrator & Mayor of Port Harcourt for his swift response to their call and showered encomiums on the sterling leadership qualities of the Mayor.<\/p>\n
He went further to state some challenges affecting the organization.<\/p>\n
The indefatigable Administrator\/Mayor Eze Barr Samuel B. Kalagbor PhD. DSSRS welcomed the President General and the array of seasoned past Presidents- General, Executives, and members of the organization. He eulogized their efforts in preserving the culture and tradition of Iwhuruohna people. He went further to pledge his commitment to the building of a library that will house books and research materials of thr Ikwerre’ people and culture, to studies and research on lkwerre. The mayor further reiterated his commitment to peace, security and development of the Port Harcourt City Local Government.
\nThe meeting ended on a spiritual note as the cream de la cream of the organization prayed for the success and progress of the Administrator\/Mayor and the entire people and residents of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area.<\/p>\n
