New Mayor (Sole Administrator) Dedicates Office To God, Dissolved All Standing Committees
Port Harcourt City Local Government Area’s new Mayor (administrator) Dr. (Barr.) Samuel B. Kalagbor, DSSRS took his first official steps into office – not with fanfare or speeches but with prayer In a city often known for its bustling energy and industrial heartbeat, a refreshing wave of humility and spiritual consciousness.
Dr. Kalagbor dedicated his office to God, symbolizing a fresh chapter rooted in divine guidance, accountability, and hope.
The spiritual charge was given by Bishop Ayo Odunayo of the Victory International Ministries (Chapel of Victory International Churches).
From the council office, the journey of dedication continued to the Mayor’s Lodge, where the Bishop again led prayers to sanctify the space that would now serve as the home and hub of a leadership poised for transformation.
In a statement signed by the Mayor himself, the Administrator of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers State, Dr. Samuel Kalagbor dissolved all standing committees of the local government with immediate effect.
This includes revenue, sanitation, motor parks, and other ad hoc committees set up by the previous administration.
By this announcement, all affected persons are directed to hand over all council property in their possession to the office of the Administrator.
Also, companies operating in the local government should take note of the development and immediately quit dealing with fake agents and unauthorized persons.
Furthermore, security agencies are directed to arrest and prosecute impersonators.
