*SIR ALLWELL IHUNDA SIGNS BUDGET OF N6.789BN INTO LAW, PROMISE TO CONSOLIDATE ON THE GAINS OF PAST ADMINISTRATIONS*

Mayor Of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, Sir Allwell Ihunda JP, has promised to put into judicious use whatever revenue accrued the council; as he signed into law the Port Harcourt City Local Government Appropriation bill 2022 in his office at the council headquarters, Moscow Road.
The Mayor,after signing the appropriation bill, promise to consolidate on the gains of past administrations in the local government area.
He commended the legislative council for the speedy passage of the budget.
“The budget we have approved today is christened budget of consolidation,the target is to consolidate on the achievements of past administrations in the local government area.
We are going to follow the budget strictly by ensuring that all provisions of the budget,by the special grace of God are implemented”.
Sir Allwell Ihunda also expressed his resolve to implement the budget with the prudent use of the monthly allocation and internally generated revenues.
“I assure you that we will make significant progress in the implementation of this budget.
Particularly the capital projects,we will follow them one after the other and ensure they are completed within this fiscal year”.
Leader of the legislative council, Hon. Hanachor Noble Orlu, acknowledged the cordial relationship that exist between the Executive and Legislature,he promised greater collaboration between the two arms of government for the interest and development of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area.
Thanking the Legislators for the speedy passage of the appropriation bill, Secretary of Port Harcourt City Local Government,Barr. Chile Kay-Owuru appreciated the lawmakers for keeping to their words and expediting action on the passage of the bill,he appealed to the lawmakers to sustain the synergy with the executive for productive governance.
