*PORT HARCOURT CITY LOCAL GOVERNMENT INUAGURATES RUMUWOJI ULTRA MORDERN MARKET UNION*
_Sir Allwell Ihunda urged the new market leaders to ensure that the peace and sanity of the market is restored by their inuaguration_
Port Harcourt City Local Government has inuagurated the new Executives of Rumuwoji Ultramodern Market, performing the inuaguration today, on behalf of the Mayor, Secretary of Port Harcourt City Local Government, Barr.Chile Kay Owuru advised the new market leaders to ensure that sanity is restored to the market.
“Use your new positions to restore peace and sanity in the market.
Your inuaguration today should automatically put an end to the leadership crisis that engulfed the market union before and after the election in June”; Barr.Owuru said.
He said Port Harcourt City Local Government is the sole owner of the market and reserves the right of revocation of shop ownership and dissolution of the market union in the event of any crisis.
He urged them to use their new positions to support activities of Port Harcourt City Local Government, and also promote the peace and development of the city.
In his message,Chief Of Staff Port Harcourt City Local Government, Mr. Glory Oparaodu advised the newly sworn-in chairman, Hon. Godspower Omunakwe Wobo to carry members of his team along in all his dealings.
He said the market union should work in synergy with the management committee of the council and ensure all anomalies in the market are corrected.
The new market union chairman Hon. Godspower Omunakwe Wobo thanked Sir Allwell Ihunda for accepting to inuaguarate him and members of his team despite the leadership crisis that engulfed the market union, he assured the Mayor that he will work closely with him to promote the programmes and policies of his administration.
Hon. Godspower Omunakwe Wobo was inuagurated alongside thirteen other members of his Executives they are to serve for three years.
