The Port Harcourt City Council wishes to advise residents in the state metropolis to shelve their planned #ENDSARS protest fixed for Tuesday October 13th 2020.

The council is of the opinion that the #ENDSARS protest is no longer necessary following the disbandment of the outfit by the Inspector General of Police and subsequent affirmation by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Rivers state, being the first state to demand the disbandment of SARS back in 2016 is already vindicated by the nationwide rally against the notorious security outfit.

Let’s maintain the existing peace in the state for economic wellbeing and prosperity for our people.

Engaging in any form of protest or rally at this time may ignite unnecessary tension in the state and disrupt the magnitude of ongoing constructions by the state government.
