Lockdown: Mayor of Portharcourt City issues stern warning to residents of Amadi Ama Community in Phalga ward 20.

Mayor of Portharcourt City Hon Victor Ihunwo JP has issued a stern warning to residents of Amadi Ama community in Phalga ward 20 to desist forthwith from flouting the state government directives on lockdown or face the wrath of the law.

Hon Victor Ihunwo spoke while monitoring the level of compliance of the people of Portharcourt to the lockdown order of the state government.
He was angry at what he saw in Amadi Ama community when he got there and issued a stern warning to residents of the area to obey the lockdown order or he will deal ruthlessly with anyone caught flouting the order next time he visits as they will not even be aware of his next visit.

The Mayor directed his deputy Mrs Marian Fiberesima,the councillor of the ward Mrs Jane Toku Mike and the chiefs of the community to ensure that what he saw there does not repeat itself anymore else the consequences will be severe.

Hon Victor Ihunwo said any exemption letter other than the one signed by Governor Nyesom Wike will not be accepted by his team.

The lockdown order is painful but no price is too difficult to pay in order to stay alive,if the level of compliance to the lockdown order is satisfactory the Governor will begin the process of relaxing the order.
