Rumuwoji Community Council visits Mayor of Portharcourt City.

…..Calls for the support of the Mayor for their preferred candidate for Rumuwoji Ultra Modern Market Union Election.

Some members of Rumuwoji Community Council led by Hon Otuonye Wuche visited the Mayor of Portharcourt City Hon Victor Ihunwo JP,in the Mayor’s conference room,council secretariat,Moscow road.

Leader of the delegation Hon Otuonye Wuche thanked the Mayor for granting them audience despite the short notice,also for restoring sanity to the Rumuwoji market.

He told the Mayor that the Community has agreed to support one of theirs,Mrs Golda Nsiegbe to emerge President of the Rumuwoji Ultra Morden Market Union in the election slated for Saturday 13th July 2019.

Hon Otuonye said they agreed as a community to support the aspiration of Mrs Nsiegbe because they believe she will deliver on the goods hence even the Nyeweli”Traditional ruler” of the Community Chief Christian Chuku joined the delegation to notify the Mayor of their agreement.

Chief Fyneface Bekwele Amadi JP, Eze Kpalukwuozu II Rebisi Kingdom,a renowned traditional ruler in Portharcourt City who was also part of the delegation told the Mayor that they agreed to support Mrs Golda Nsiegbe because they believe she will restore the lost glory of Rumuwoji community in the market.

Responding, Mayor of Portharcourt City Hon Victor Ihunwo JP thanked the delegation for the visit but reminded them that his is not Mayor of Rumuwoji community rather he is Mayor of Portharcourt City, he represents the interest of indigenes and non indigenes alike so he will remain neutral.

” I have told all those that come here for my support in this election that I will remain neutral and will not serve any interest. Whoever wins the election on Saturday I will work with the person to serve the interest of the traders that elected that person.So I will advice that you go back to the traders in market and campaign for your preferred candidate, if the traders decide to vote for your candidate on Saturday then all I wish you is Goodluck.”The Mayor said.
